Seattle Rep Welcomes Dan Sullivan

Dan Sullivan Joins Producing Artistic Director, Jerry Manning as Artistic Consultant

SEATTLE, WA - Seattle Repertory Theatre today announced that Dan Sullivan will join Producing Artistic Director, Jerry Manning and his resident artistic team as Artistic Consultant. Sullivan will be assisting the staff in planning the 2009-2010 season. Sullivan comes back to the Rep after having been the Artistic Director at Seattle Rep from 1981 to 1997 and is currently directing Charlayne Woodard's The Night Watcher in the Leo K. Theatre, which was built under his leadership.

The theatre is currently evaluating its organizational model to determine the appropriate artistic and business management structure for the future. That process will be completed before beginning a search for a new artistic director. "We are excited to bring back Dan Sullivan and create this dynamic artistic dream team which will assure the consistency and quality of our programming as we move through this transition." Says Board President Jane Zalutsky. "Seattle Rep audiences know and love both Dan Sullivan and Jerry Manning and we trust that Dan will infuse Seattle Rep with his vision and experience as one of todays most highly regarded theatre practitioners." Sullivan will take on the role of Artistic Consultant effective immediately.
